Week 6 of COVID-19 lock-down

The country has now been in lock-down for over five weeks now but our woods have remained open for visitors to take their daily exercise. The government guidelines say that people can take about an hours exercise and are allowed to drive short distances to get somewhere suitable. It seems that some of our locals are making use of the woods at Sir Joseph Banks and Fenside but are respecting other visitors and keeping to the expected social distance of 2m. As our volunteer teams are not currently working we are asking visitors to be extra careful about correct disposal of litter, including dog poo.

The woods and meadow will survive a season without our care, although there will be lots of work to catch up on later. New volunteers or supporters will be most welcome!
