Pause a moment on the new perch seats

Those with limited mobility may be interested to know that we have installed numerous "perch" seats along two short walks in the woods.

From West End Road carpark there is a short walk through Jenny's Wood. This is only about a quarter of a mile but there are 2 benches and 3 perch seats where one take a breather.

From Old Hammond Beck there is a slightly longer walk, but still less than half a mile, around the Oak Wood. On this route there 4 benches and 6 perches.

We hope these short walks, with plenty of places to pause, will encourage those with limited mobility, perhaps following a stroke or joint replacements, to spend some time out in the fresh air. If you know someone like this why not offer to take them for a short trip out.

There are plenty of longer walks for those more able.
