We have been here for you through the last 10 weeks of lock-down

It is lovely to receive messages and see posts on other social media sites from people who have only found our woods and parkland during the past few weeks.

Many of these newer visitors may not be aware that the Sir Joseph Banks Country Park, which includes Westgate Wood and Jenny's Wood, and the Fenside Woods - Grange Wood, Beech Wood, Pioneer wood and the Green Burial Site are all provided by the Boston Woods Trust. We are a local independent charity which relies on local support and volunteers to maintain, improve and eventually expand these 110 acres of open access country park so close to Boston.

Can you help? Perhaps you have discovered volunteering in these unusual times, would you like to offer practical help maintaining the woods. We meet three days a week and no experience or equipment is needed, just a willing pair of hands.

If you do not have the time or inclination why not become a supporter? It only costs from £20 a year to show that you appreciate the amenity provided.

Our aims are to:

Promote Health and Wellbeing by providing access for all to a natural outdoor environment.

Encourage Bio-Diversity by providing a variety of wildlife habitats

Help Combat Climate Change through growing trees

Eventually for timber production and in the meantime trees we fell as part of the management system is sold for firewood.
