Our marathon is over

Congratulations to all our volunteers

It has been more than a marathon run to prune, grub out, drag out and finally chip all the brash in all of our woods – you all deserve a medal.

I know at times it has seemed like slave labour especially for those who have worked all day in very hot weather but it is appreciated and hopefully it will never have to be repeated on this scale.

Since the autumn an amazing amount of work has been done on the woods and meadow which already seem revitalised. Clearing the blackthorn, especially in Grange Wood, has transformed the wood which should be much easier to keep litter free and hopefully encourage more families to use it, and perhaps deter other visitors.

Without YOU none of this could happen.

Thank you on behalf of Adrian and the Boston Woods Trust
