Thanks to YOU we have been awarded £2000. We look forward to a good event in June with a variety of stalls. We hope the local school will get involved with a treasure hunt and on Sunday we will hold a BIG LUNCH when everyone is welcome to bring a picnic or food for the shared table. We hope to get lots of visitors but if you would like to get involved with helping please use the "Contact us" page

Tesco teamed up with Groundwork to launch its Bags of Help initiative across England and Wales. The scheme sees three community groups and projects in each of around 200 Tesco regions awarded grants of £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags. The public will now vote in store from 2 to 28 January on who should receive the £5,000, £2,000 and £1,000 awards.    www.tesco.com/bagsofhelp

This grant will enable us to extend of the activities we have had in previous years with craft workshops and entertainers, food vendors and a craft market. We are hoping to get local schools involved, perhaps with displays in Grange Wood and if we win first place we will be able to make improvements to the parking available at Grange Wood.
